Improving the quality of life of African kids by providing quality education and quality health

Our programs

The Rural Hope Foundation’s projects are all-inclusive providing secondary school education for the benefit of all children.
This level of education is selected because most African countries have made primary education free. However, most young students drop out of secondary school due to parents’ inability to pay school fees, purchase uniforms and books, etc.
Rural Hope Foundation works with rural communities to build schools. Every project undertaken by Rural Hope Foundation has the express approval of the members of beneficiary communities.
In promoting education, RHF aims at tackling poverty, improving healthcare and improving the quality of life of children. Poverty and education are correlated and must therefore be treated together.

Our impact

Rural Hope Foundation is a non-profit foundation and shall be operated exclusively for educational and charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, or the corresponding section of any future Federal tax code.
The specific objective and purposes of Rural Hope Foundation shall be: A public charity that is organized exclusively for charitable, education and health maintenance under section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code or any future tax code. The Foundation will build schools in extreme poor communities; provide text books, computers and printers. In many instances, the Foundation shall also provide medical equipment and prescriptions to these communities where health care facilities are lacking.
In most African Countries, governments are not able to provide classrooms for all the schools and the area that are hit hard, are the extreme poor areas, where nothing gets done or are completely forgotten by the national and local authorities. There are therefore thousands of schools found under trees or in temporary ramshackle structures. This definitely is not conducive to learning. The Foundation would endeavor to build schools with labor provided by the community to replace these schools “under trees”.

The importance of education cannot be overemphasized. Some of the benefits derived from such an endeavor include the following:
• Education lifts nations out of instability and provides a more promising future for the young ones.
• Educating and retaining the girls up to secondary school level would reduce future child deaths and improve future maternal health.
• Education creates opportunities for sustainable economic growth now and in the future.
• Education serves as a quick and easy way to migrate from poverty to self-dependency and self-sustaining.

The importance of education cannot be overemphasized.

Education is the basic right of every child and the responsibility of every adult in the community
